Leaking AC—Fixed
Problem: Chris K. called because his AC was leaking water into his home. We sent our tech, Zach, to diagnose the problem.
Solution: Zach found that the reason the AC was leaking water was because the GFCI for the condensate pump had tripped.
An AC produces moisture as part of the its cooling process, and the condensate pump is responsible for pumping that moisture outside the home. But if the pump stops working, water has nowhere to go, so it will leak into your home.
Zach checked the circuit breaker for the condensate pump and reset it. He also inspected the condensate pump to see if there was any issue with the pump that would have caused the pump to trip the breaker.
